Rick Franklin Corporation responds 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to emergencies on Class 1 and short line railroads in the Pacific Northwest. RFC is contracted with both Union Pacific and Burlington Northern
Santa Fe to assist both railroads in maintaining services to their customers. Our employees are ERailSafe
certified and trained to provide quality services in a timely manner when a railroad is experiencing a service interruption. RFC has over 150 pieces of heavy equipment and a fleet of trucks capable of hauling
oversize loads readily available to mobilize for any type of emergency.
Our inventory includes sidebooms, dozers, excavators, loaders, forklifts, graders, backhoes, and various pieces of hyrail equipment to access difficult locations. This equipment is used to clear a derailment by either re-railing locomotives and cars or removing them from the site.
Snow, rain, or fire events can cause a track to be out of service quickly. RFC is able to respond and assist in getting the track restored back to operational status.
Transloads & Load Shifts
Our specialized equipment and highly trained personnel provide safe, quick, and cost-effective solutions to your company’s needs. RFC is able to assist railroad customers with load transfers, load shifts, and transload services, whether involving a single railcar or as part of a derailment cleanup.
